When preparing for the day in your apartments in Flagstaff, AZ, you may feel that you just don't always have the time to eat breakfast — let alone eat a healthy breakfast. The good news is that eating fast can still mean eating healthy. Here are 5 quick and healthy breakfast ideas you can use now.

Smoothie Fuel at Your Flagstaff Apartments

Smoothies are super easy for quick morning fuel. Use a handful of ice cubes, a carton of plain low-fat yogurt, and a handful of frozen strawberries to blend up a healthy and easy breakfast.

Peanut Butter Banana Toast

Start with a slice of whole grain toast, then add a tablespoon of nut butter (almond butter, cashew butter, peanut butter, or anything you like.) Slice half a banana and arrange on the toast and enjoy!

Avocado Toast

Toast a slice of whole grain bread and add a sliced avocado for a delicious and nutritious breakfast treat. For an extra kick of flavor, some people enjoy adding a dollop of salsa or hot sauce to the top of the avocado.

Dressed Up Oatmeal

Oatmeal is easy to make, but some people find it boring after a while. Dress up oatmeal with healthy additions like nuts, berries or a drizzle of honey for a healthy and filling breakfast.

Yogurt Parfait

This breakfast treat is easy to make, and as a bonus it can be made in multiples and placed in the refrigerator a few days ahead of time. Using a small mason jar, layer low-fat yogurt, blueberries, strawberries and granola. Refrigerate to allow the flavors to integrate, then grab a jar and enjoy.

5 Awesome Pancake RecipesFebruary is a month of love, so we’re celebrating with a focus on things we love, from home décor to fun holidays and more!

When it comes to breakfast foods, pancakes are way up there on our list of favorites! And it’s a good thing, too, because this week was Pancake Week! To celebrate (and pay tasty homage to this yummy breakfast treat), here are five amazing pancake recipes we’re sure will make your mouth happy!

Red Velvet Pancakes with Coconut Syrup and Blueberries

Talk about a patriotic pancake! Perfect for the Fourth of July or any day, these pancakes are pure chocolaty bliss with an explosion of color. A step up from your everyday ordinary chocolate, red velvet always seems a little more rich. And the blueberries add just the right touch of sweetness! We bet you could swap the coconut syrup for sour cream icing (a perfect pairing with red velvet anything) if you wanted something to really tempt your sweet tooth. FIND THE RECIPE HERE. (Tip: You can also cheat on the pancakes and invest in some red velvet pancake batter!)

Sour Cream Cinnamon Roll Pancakes with Maple Coffee Glaze

When it comes to decadence, we’re all over these yummy pancakes. And best of all, they’re actually a bit healthier for you than an actual cinnamon roll! It does take a little artistry and patience to get these just right, but we promise they’re worth the effort. And the maple coffee glaze? OMGoodness, yes: and also super easy to make. GET THE RECIPE HERE.

Chocolate Chip and Candied Bacon Pancakes with Nutella Maple Syrup

Chocolate + Bacon = Sweet, Sweet Bliss. Even the creator of the recipe admits that these pancakes are “a little over the top” … but in all the ways we love. Even if bacon and chocolate together isn’t your thing, we bet you’d enjoy the candied bacon recipe on its own, and the Nutella maple syrup sounds like it’d be a dream come true on some ice cream. So this is really like three or four great recipes in one. You’re welcome. CHECK OUT THE RECIPE HERE.

Birthday Cake Batter Pancakes

Sure, you could save this recipe for your birthday … but seriously, why wait? This recipe is for that lazy Saturday when you can 100% afford a sugar coma. We tried to validate this recipe with our diet by recognizing there’s only two teaspoons of sugar in the pancakes … and it totally works, if you ignore the fact that you’re also essentially baking and eating a whole cake to make these. But maybe it’s time to go a little Alice in Wonderland and celebrate your unbirthday. We’re sure you’ve earned it. ENJOY THE RECIPE HERE.

Double Stuff Oreo Pancakes

We … can’t … even. Our jaws just about hit the floor when we saw these yummy pancakes. Yes, the site with the recipe recommends saving them for dessert rather than breakfast. Yes, we can feel our blood pressure spiking just thinking about them. Yes, sugar coma. But still … chocolate. Oreos. Whipped cream. How could we (or you) resist? FIND THE RECIPE HERE. (PS: If anyone tries this with Golden Oreos, we want to hear about it!)

BONUS: Vegan and Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cup Pancakes!

No, these aren’t healthy, but they are healthier than a lot of other pancake recipes. And since we know more and more people are being stricken by gluten allergies, or prefer the vegan lifestyle, we didn’t want to leave anybody out! According to the genius behind this recipe, you absolutely must top these pancakes with an actual peanut butter cup … and we’re not going to argue with a genius. GET THE RECIPE HERE.
