Starting off the day with a good breakfast will give you the energy you need to handle your to-do list without feeling stressed out. Here are some of the best energizing breakfast ideas for your consideration.
Eggs
Eggs are rich in protein, Vitamin A, zinc and a host of other nutrients. You can boil them, scramble them, make an omelet. The options are nearly endless!
Oats
Oats can be cooked, eaten raw in granola or used as a flour substitute to make pancakes or crepes. They pack a great nutritional punch and leave you feeling satisfied so you aren't tempted to grab a junk food snack on the go.
Fruit
Fruit is rich in the vitamins and minerals you need to stay healthy and energized. Thankfully, there are so many fruits to pick from that just about anyone can find at least a few that he or she likes. You can eat a piece of fruit with your breakfast, chop up fruit to make a fruit salad, add some cut fruit to a bowl or yogurt or blend up a fruit smoothie.
Whole Grain Bread
Whole grain bread not only tastes great but gives you the boost you need to start the day off on the right foot. Eat a few slices of whole wheat bread with eggs, tuna, cheese, ham or any other topping of your choice.
Yogurt
Yogurt is rich in protein, calcium and more. Additionally, it's an easy breakfast as it does not need to be cooked. Choose a brand that does not have added sugar and eat it together with granola, fruit, nuts and/or seeds.

Clearing your mind is a great way to relax, take a break from racing thoughts and unwind after a long day. However, finding inner peace and freedom from troublesome thoughts can often be more difficult than it should be.
That’s why we’ve compiled a list of ways that will help you clear your mind when you need it the most. Explore this list to see which items work best for you in your Flagstaff apartment.
Have a Conversation with a Friend
Ask a friend if they have a few moments to talk, and then speak your mind. You’ll be surprised how effective leaning on a friend can be at clearing your mind.
Write Your Thoughts Down
Getting your thoughts out on paper can do wonders for clearing your mind. This practice gives your thoughts a home outside of your head. Try it next time you have racing or worrisome thoughts and reap the benefits.
Exercise Rigorously
The body and mind and intricately connected. If you exhaust your body, chances are that your mind will clear. This is especially effective if you are worrying excessively, or over-stressed. Do any form of physical exercise that gets your heart racing. When you’re done, you’ll notice that your mind is much clearer.
Pick Up a Book
Books allow you to get away from it all without actually getting away. They shift your focus away from whatever is clouding up your mind and allow you to focus on something else. Grab a fiction book for a true escape.
Meditate
Meditation has multiple amazing benefits, one of which is the ability to clear your mind. Make a habit of meditating daily to experience a clearer mind throughout your life. All you need to do is sit in a comfortable position (you can sit in a chair) and focus on your breathing. Just like that, you’re meditating.

Hot summers are an inevitable part of life at our apartments in Flagstaff, and we want to make sure everyone stays happy, healthy and hydrated. It can be easy to forget to drink enough water throughout the day, which can lead to serious problems before you even realize it.
Not sure how to get more water into your daily diet? Check out these six tips:
1. Fill Your Pitcher With Flavor
Not a fan of the bland taste of water? Surpass the unpleasantness by infusing fruits, veggies, or herbs into your water. As an added bonus, don't forget to fill your ice cube trays so you always have tasty ice on hand.
2. Form a Habit
If you drink a glass of water after every bathroom break, you'll discover that the formation of this habit helps keep you hydrated.
3. Use an App
We all know there's an app for everything. Put technology to good use by downloading an app that helps you keep track of your daily water consumption. Try Daily Water Free – Water Reminder and Counter.
4. Find a Good Filter
Get rid of the gross stuff so you're only taking in the good by investing in high-quality filters that make it easy to drink water wherever you go. Pitchers are great for home use, but consider adding a couple portable filters to your collection to get the most out of your investment.
5. Focus on Water-Rich Foods
Did you know that certain foods naturally contain lots of water? Add some strawberries, watermelon, and cucumber to your cart next time you hit the grocery store to stock up on healthy treats that hydrate, too.
6. Hydrate Before Every Meal
Sipping on water before you eat will ensure that you don't forget about that pesky glass sitting on the table. When dining out, order a water as soon as you sit down!
If you're committed to drinking more water, it sounds like you're starting the summer out on the right foot. Why not keep the positive trend going by seeking a new apartment that includes a 24-hour fitness center? Stop by Pine View Village to check out all of our great amenities today!

February is a month full of heart … No, not because of Valentine’s Day! February is also National Heart Month, which makes it the perfect time to think about what you can do to be “heart happy.” After all, your heart is one thing you quite literally can’t live without. Everything from diet and exercise to your levels of stress and happiness contribute to how your heart performs. Keeping your heart healthy and happy, then, is about more than just getting in a good workout every once in a while (though it couldn’t hurt). It’s about making good lifestyle choices to do what’s right for your health! Here are a few suggestions to help you concentrate on heart health this month!
Kick Up the Cardio
Add a little exercise to your daily routine. Go for walks. Join a Zumba class. Take advantage of the free Fitness Center! Aim for 15 minutes of activity three times a week to start, and gradually increase your activity level as you feel more comfortable!
Kick Out Bad Habits
If you’re a smoker, now’s a good time to quit. Quitting can significantly reduce your risk for heart disease and stroke, among other things! Wave farewell to fatty foods. Reduce the amount of sodium in your diet. Use spices instead of salt to add flavor to your food. Say goodbye to bad habits and say hello to a happier heart!
What’s Up, Doc?
Don’t forget the importance of regular check-ups with your doctor … even when you’re not sick. Your doctor can help you set heart healthy goals. Doctors are also great resources for asking questions about your health in general; remember, there’s no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to your health! And make sure you’re willing to trust their advice … because they’re doctors, and you’re not.
Just Relax …
Raise your hand if you’ve NEVER had a stressful day at school, work, home, the store, church, the park … Yeah, we’ve all had stressful days. It’s impossible to avoid stress, but it is possible to learn to manage it. Take time daily just for yourself. Take a long bath or an extra long shower. Do some yoga. Take a nap. Meditate. Listen to relaxing music. Do whatever it takes to allow the stresses of your day to simply melt away … even if it just means putting your stressor on the back burner for now. Your heart will thank you!
Heart health is not magic. It is simply the process of making good choices. Celebrate National Heart Month by showing your heart a little extra TLC!
