The Market of Dreams, or Mercado de los Sueños, is an awesome grassroots project connecting dozens of organizations around Flagstaff and Northern Arizona with people of all ages to foster grassroots community leadership and “beautify and enhance the 4th street corridor”. This multi-cultural cooperative market and micro-business center will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, March 28th, with music and entertainment from 12 – 6 PM. Check out the amazing crafts, jewelry, woodworking, household goods, and other art work all produced locally, and support both the local arts and the entrepreneurial efforts of local contributors! Laser Tag

March 27 – 29, 2015
Flagstaff Mall and The Marketplace
Real Talk: When we found out there was laser tag at the Mall, we may have screamed a little! Here’s another chance to support a local business, as Battlezone Laser Tag is locally owned and operated! The playing field is huge, and offers great fun for laser tag warriors of all ages. (PS: They also have a mobile laser tag set up available for special events and parties … talk about a way to instantly show up your neighbor’s party!) Battlezone is open on Fridays from 3 – 9 PM, Saturdays 12 – 9 PM, and Sunday 12 – 6 PM! Stop by for open play, or get in touch with them directly for private party or group rates!

Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band

March 27, 2015
The Orpheum Theater
If the name isn’t enough to pique your interest, the mixed sound of this band might be what it takes. A mix of deep funk, high energy rock, old school rap, and soul, this five-member band is known for its high-energy live shows and “outrageous stage wear.” We checked out a performance of their track “Ante Up” … and we just might see you at the show if that song alone is any indication of all they have to offer! And the Orpheum has never let us down when it comes to amazing live performances that will have the whole town buzzing. We’re officially dubbing this our “Can’t Miss” Event for this Friday!
